Antique, possibly 18th century, hand caved religious icon. We believe it could be an image of Mary or possibly a female saint.
She is finely carved and has lots of detail work on all sides, the base shows the original chisel marks. Due to the age, there is patina and wear. She is also missing the lower parts of her arms. There are cracks in the wood that appear to be showing original construction of the piece. Please see the photographs as they outline any existing issues. She should be handled with care but is not so fragile that she's at risk of breaking.
