Second Generation Elephant Hide Grey Charles Eames for Herman Miller Shell Chair with Label

$1,175.00
Made between the years 1954-55 during a transitional year when the famous Eames Shell Chair was manufactured in two locations: at the Santa Monica Eames Office, (where this chair was made) and at the original location in Gardena, CA. The Second Generation models had a straight edge, where the rope had been “shaved” off the chair post manufacturing. They had a red Venice label or no label at all, H base or “X'“ base, and plastic glides. This chair shows its original Large sized shock mounts, black H Base Red Venice label, and original glide feet. Excellent overall condition with Venice label under the seat.

Measures approximately 25" wide, 24" deep, and 27" tall.

Vintage furniture is never free from minor wear. Please inspect the photos carefully for the best description of the condition. We are available daily if you'd like to try before you buy. Missing one seat screw.

FREE SHIPPING on this item. Also Free pickup from Charlottesville, VA.
