Vintage 1960's German Grundig Console Radio Record Player Konzertschrank SO 191 a with pair of Raumklag Box II a Speakers

Sale Price:$2,550.00 Original Price:$2,695.00
SOLD

This vintage Grundig with matching speakers was purchased from the original owners estate in Vienna, VA. The radio works but an audible "hum" is present. Based on my limited research, the console needs one or more radio tubes replaced. I would rate the condition of this unit an 9.25/10. Minor evidence of a move along the bottom and perimeter edges. The radio works, but needs servicing to sound like-new. Record player illuminates but we do not know how to make it spin the record (may need a new belt). 4&2-track recorder is missing or was never installed. Structurally rock solid throughout. Most of the original tags from Grundig still exist. Gloss finish has very few defects. All text on the units are in German, and it is believed the family immigrated to the USA in the 1980's with the Grundig. It is clear this was not originally retailed in the US market. Wood type is Mahogany, finish color is a warm, dark walnut tone (original un-refinished).

Model numbers:

Console: "Stereo-Konzertschrank SO 191 a"

Floor Speakers: "Hi-fi Raumklag-Box II a"

Radio console measures 57.5" wide, 16.25" deep, 33.375" tall. Each speaker measures 21.25" wide, 11.75" deep and 30.5" tall. All three together are relatively heavy.

Shipping will occur carefully. Hand-Delivery to our local DMV market can be achieved for $75. I plan to build a custom pallet for the console plus speakers which will be heavy. This is the safest way to ship such a heavy delicate item. Blanket wrapped shipping is also an option for the buyer depending on specific factors. Feel free to reach out with any question at all. I have shipped heavy, fragile items all over the world and have never incurred damage. Will be shipped fully insured without exception. Check my reviews regarding shipping.

Shipping cost will range between $275-600 depending on the buyers location- I am happy to obtain a free quote for you.
