A striking and functional Danish modern pop-up bar designed by Kai Kristiansen, crafted in richly grained Brazilian Rosewood. This innovative piece sits as a compact cube when closed, and with a gentle push down, the top section (topped by black formica as a protective mixing surface) rises up to reveal a beautifully designed interior with open shelving, perfect for glassware and spirits storage. To close the cabinet, push down firmly on the top until you it stocks and you hear a click. Check out the finger jointing around the two handles comprised of solid Brazilian Rosewood- an incredible detail.
The contrast between the dark, highly figured Brazilian Rosewood exterior and the solid Oak interior wood creates a bold and elegant presentation for your libations. Mounted on discreet chrome caster wheels, the bar is easy to reposition, making it just as practical as it is stylish. Can be used as a lamp table or end table between seating or as a standalone piece to the side of the dining area.
A true conversation piece, this bar embodies the clean lines and clever functionality of Scandinavian modern design from the 1960s. Makers marks underneath of: “K. T. Nr. 805” with Danish control badge and the ink stamp Made in Denmark.

Condition: Excellent condition, with beautiful wood grain and minimal patina. A true survivor that was well cared for and kept clean since day one. We did not restore this piece, only cleaned again with lemon oil.
Dimensions: 27” wide x 21.5” deep and 22” tall when closed. Rises to 34.5“ tall when fully open.
