A classic mid-century modern coffee table designed by Paul McCobb for his celebrated Planner Group line, manufactured by Winchendon Furniture. The rectangular top rests on McCobb’s signature splayed, tapering legs, giving the piece a light and elegant profile. Crafted in solid maple with a warm walnut-toned lacquer finish, the table showcases McCobb’s hallmark balance of simplicity, proportion, structure and function. Legs thread into the base blocks via unique threaded wood ends. Note the rare, early 50’s Winchendon label- a precursor to the more common foil label.

This design embodies McCobb’s modernist ethos of clean lines and versatility, making it a timeless piece that complements both vintage and contemporary decorated interiors.

Fully refinished with a period-correct clear coat, exact color match to the original color, and is now ready for another 70+ years of enjoyment with minimal maintenance required. Keep it dry and gently polish with lemon oil no more than once a year for maximum longevity.
