Vintage Brazilian Rosewood Floating Top Desk by Johannes Sorth for Bornholm
A beautiful floating top desk designed by Johannes Sorth. Made by Børnholm in the late 1960’s. Acquired from the original owners estate. An elegant design, the top floats over two banks of forward facing drawers connected to an open bookshelf in the back/room facing side. Can be used in the middle of a room elegantly. Three drawers on the left bank feature one locking drawer (original key included). The right bank features one file-sized drawer with removable metal file hanger. Top surface was recently refinished with the rest of the desk having been detailed and oiled. The desk is structurally sound with no issues regarding drawer movement or stability.
Measures 57” wide, 29” tall and 27.5” deep. Weighs approximately 85 pounds.
